Our investigation of the Sipsey, Alabama Jail and Town Hall proved to be more
then we bargained for. With several reports of activity inside the jail and main
lobby of the city hall, our investigators had our work cut out for us. Upon
interviews we learned that even though the town of Sipsey may be small it's not
without it's fair share of ghostly visitors. The jail has been inactive for several
years but a few inmates never left. Reports of the ghostly figure of a woman said
to make her way from the jail through the main hall way and into the bathroom
has been seen. Also footsteps and bangs coming from the attic, and reports of
objects in motion especially in the jail area are common.
Activity seemed to pick up almost right away once we pursued our investigation.
The attic seemed to be the worst place in the whole establishment. With a number
of sounds and EMF readings, our team ruled out faulty wiring inside the attic. All
wires shielded gave off no EMF. Random spikes in areas with no wiring seemed to
be quit frequent in the attic location. Inside the jail was a terrible feeling of
negativity. Seeing as how it is a jail and more than likely has several layers of
paranormal residue, and criminals association with the area. Knowing this we set
inside the cells for several minutes provoking and asking very demanding
questions. Inside the 2nd cell there was a strong sense of someone else inside the
cell besides Co-Founder Cassie Clark and myself (Founder Faith Serafin) We asked
for proof and I received a poke in the left shoulder. Thinking it may have been a
bug attempting to bit through my vest. I did check and nothing was there. Also
upon investigating in the jail area we experienced a motion sensor which appeared
the have been "thrown" off a water cooler, landing in the floor with enough force
to break open the battery compartment and dislodge all 4 AA batteries. Not a
coincidence being as how this is the same location where the chief of police
experienced a germ-x bottle fly off a shelf in his direction.
I have to say with the evidence gathered in this jail, I'd hate to be the inmate
staying overnight. Soon to be housing inmates again. Hopefully if breaking the
law isn't enough to scare them straight, spending the night in the Sipsey City Jail
would definitely turn the hardest criminal into a scardy cat.
TO BE CONTINUED......... The Alabama Paranormal Research Team will be re-investigating the Sipsey, Alabama Jail and City Hall. Look for updates and the latest evidence from this location.

While this video doesn't show the actual event where a motion sensor was thrown from a water cooler inside the Sipsey City Jail. You can hear it fall and a former investigator of APRT inform us that it was not knocked down by one of our investigators
