Notasulga, Alabama is a very small and sleepy little town in southeast Alabama. Established after the
civil war this little town holds lots of mysteries. An unfortunate event in which a fire destroyed much of
the records in Notasulga in the town hall in 1997 seems to plague much of the area. Many death, birth,
marriage and tax and property records where lost. The Alabama Paranormal Research Team has done a
number of investigations for the City of Notasulga and surrounding areas, in the hopes that even in our
research for paranormal activity we may be able to turn up some clues to help the city of Notasulga
regain some of there history. On this page you will find many different locations our team has
investigated
.
Bethlehem Cemetery
located in the middle of a forked road in the heart of the Notasulga country has some awesome
headstones. Some of them are so large they tower over you and make you feel very small. An
intimidating feature to an already spooky cemetery.(picture on the right) This tiny cemetery is not
without it's own legends. The Church that once stood where a large bare spot of land is just in front
of the cemetery was burned to the ground many years ago. A trend that seems to be a common in
Notasulga. The photograph to the left shows an anomaly known as a "rod"  This small cemetery is
noted by local law enforcement to have strange and unusual activity as well. From seeing lights in the
location to dark figures moving among the head stones.
Even the Notasulga Volunteer fire
station is not without it's tales of
ghost. A story tells of a young man
on his way home from a late night of
partying. He apparently took the
curve in the road way to close and
crashed his car into the fire station
which has since been rebuilt. It was
also partially burned do to fire as
well. It's said the spirit of the young
man has been seen on this dead
mans curve and there are tales of
him being seen in and around the
fire station as well.
