Rhodes Hall

Atlanta, Georgia
Rhodes Hall Mansion January 13, 2012

The Alabama Paranormal Research Team conducted a 7 hour investigation at Rhodes Hall in Atlanta, Ga for Friday the 13th.
Ghost Hunt weekends hosted a phenomenal event that left our team begging for more. Rhodes Hall was built in 1904 by Amos
Rhodes for his family. Amos Rhodes was the founder of Rhodes Furniture, a flourishing and prominent company. While Amos
Rhodes lived with his wife and daughter and grandchildren in the house, the only known family members to actually die in the
home was Mrs. Rhodes. She died in the down stairs room which was a library, then converted into her bedroom.

The ghost of Mrs. Rhodes may or may not haunt the "Castle on Peach tree Street" but the Grandchildren almost certainly still
reside here at their family home. Several sightings of children have been reported inside the mansion and frequently they are
heard running and laughing in hallways and down the beautiful, ornate, spiral, staircase. The ghosts of these children are a
simple specter compared to the dark, and evil presence that lurks in the basement apartment. Before the start of this event,
Medium Chip Coffey told us a story regarding a friend whom at one time resided in the basement apartment at Rhodes. He
informed us that the gentleman was basically forced from his home by this dark and daunting energy that frequently tormented
him. This shadowy figure is simply known as the "Shadow Man" and while on investigation in the basement this force made
himself known to every member of my team and other guest.

APRT does not use Ghost Boxes, Hack Boxes or radio scanners as a means of collecting tangible evidence. The margin for
error is greater in devices with random frequencies that transmit through scanning stations. Audio matrixing and
misinterpretation of this type of device is common and can be perceived differently by several people. However this particular
piece of evidence came as a complete shock to myself , my team and the other witnesses among our group. While
conducting the Ghost Box session with Jodie Parks of the Paranormal Hot Squad (Winners of the Ghost Adventures
Paranormal Challenge) Jodie asked a series of questions in regards to any intelligent entity that may be among us. My team
observed that while Jodie focused her questions on male members of the group the MEL meter, which she had situated in the
floor, would register an EMF/ELF or thermal reading. When she focused her attention to the female members of the group the
device would cease.

Once we acknowledged this strange circumstance we began to ask questions in reference to the entity being upset that we
had men in the room. The answer was clear and very obvious. As a sceptic in Ghost Boxes I have to admit this catch was
beyond my expectations. Not only was our answer clear, it was not a coincidence.
